When I started to become more aware of the importance of sun protection and keeping my skin safe, a hat wasn’t a factor in the equation. I thought about putting some sunscreen on and calling it good.
But I started to notice year after year that I would come back from a sunny day with dark spots that wouldn’t fade, dull skin, and with deep wrinkles around where I would turn.

Why do I wear a wide-brimmed hat?
After I added a hat to my sun protection routine, I started to see my skin really respond.
I felt like I was wasting my skincare routine by allowing sun damage. Now that I wear a hat more often, I see that the hard work I put into my skincare regimen continues.
This feels good.
I chose a wide-brimmed, packable hat, so you can crush, twist, and squeeze it and it still maintains its shape.
I find it’s a great option for travel, because you can put it in your luggage and then wear it and it will pull your look together. I’ve worn my favorite hat everywhere! Italy, Mexico, Hawaii, and certainly all over California.
