Recently I’ve been drawn to the look of dark bedding which adds contrast to a room. I thought I would try that aesthetic in a guest room, and so it happened This is amazing It was a big hit with our family, including our fur babies, as you can see above. For the leaves we went with Melanie’s famous set in the movie “Burnt Sand” And I chose Their duvet cover is in “Rust”.

This earthy color is exactly what our guest room needs, don’t you think? And everything is deliciously soft and silky, even after several washes. In fact, I think it got softer after washing. They are also thResistant to wrinkles, fading and stains. I may end up sleeping in our guest room until vacation visitors take over the room later this fall/winter! I love the way those rust-colored linens pop against the beige wallpaper in the guest room. I don’t plan on removing the old wallpaper, so what I can do design-wise in this room is limited. Choosing dark bedding is my way of adding contrast and interest to this light-colored space without touching the vintage 1960s wall coverings.
