I recently switched up the look of our laundry room with a new rug and wanted to share all the details.
Last year, this laundry room got a small makeover, using a new wood top, wood paneling, and open shelving.
The only thing I haven’t been able to find is a good carpet runner.
I wanted to run the laundry room…
I finally found it.
Porte + Hall gave me the runner of my dreams. He updated my laundry space and inspired me to make some other changes, like adding new décor and pouring laundry into pretty containers.
Let me introduce you if you are not familiar with Porte + Hall rugs. Interior designer Stafford Meyer is the founder and creative behind the company. When she couldn’t find a doormat that was beautiful, functional, and met her standards – she set out to create her own. Porte + Hall is officially established.
These babies are the epitome of style and practicality for your floors.
And let me tell you, they come in all kinds of stunning designs, from classic to modern to geometric.
What caught my attention was Innerweave runner in the eye of the tiger. The moment I put her in the laundry room, I wanted more. Especially under our kitchen table. They haven’t made it bigger yet, but our doormats and placemats will transform your space into a relaxing haven of elegance and charm.
These rugs are made of polypropylene and have a non-slip rubber backing. It’s not snug, but at just 3/8″ thick, it easily fits under most doors – making it ideal for entryways, mudrooms, bathrooms, and laundry rooms – pretty much any room. The rug features a beautiful coastal design, which makes me feel like I’m at the beach!
Well, let’s talk about its durability. These villains are like Chuck Norris in the carpet world – tough as nails and ready to take on anything. Maybe you can host a sumo wrestling match on one of these mats, and you’ll come out without a scratch. Perfect for pet owners because dogs apparently love this stuff!
Built to withstand the trials and tribulations of everyday life, these rugs will still protect your back (or rather, your feet) for years to come. Porte + Hall recommends shaking the rugs instead of vacuuming them, and you can clean them in cold water and hang them to dry. They also recommend OxiClean for tough stains.
So, unleash your goofy side, and let your pets run wild because with Porte + Hall rugs, durability is the name of the game, and they’ll keep kicking (or rather lying pretty on the floor) no matter what. throw at them.
Check out Porte + Hall here. I think you will love them!
