Visible Predictions for 2024. Inner vision is kind of a new concept to me. I started doing this a few years ago, and found that I really enjoyed the exercise. If you’re new to this idea, it’s super easy: just get a stack of magazines, then cut out what catches your eye. This could be quotes, colors, images – whatever! Then you stick it on a piece of paper or cardboard and pin it somewhere where you can see it every day.

To give you a brief map or overview of my vision board and its meaning, I made sure to include quite a few quotes that speak to my frame of mind for the new year — things like “It’s time to create, savor, and breathe easy,” “Live wild, wild” (you know I I love home at heart, and I don’t plan on changing that anytime soon), a “flow state” to serve as a catalyst for getting good creative work done, and a hopeful message that reads “revealing something big” because I’m always looking for my next big idea. I have no idea what It’s going to be this big idea, but I’m sure it’s somewhere on the horizon waiting for the lightbulb moment to happen.

She also focused on a general color palette of sunny hues, such as dusty rose, marigold, and light mint blue. These are the colors I’ve been drawn to lately, and I plan to incorporate them into our home and my wardrobe throughout the new year. You’ll also see a lot of books throughout my vision board to represent my ongoing commitment to reading and food because I love cooking and want to try new things, as well as some self-care-focused images, like fun skincare and spas. Preparing the bathtub. I made sure to incorporate photos of designed rooms, inside and out, that inspired me to make intentional changes around our home – this is my job after all! Speaking of exterior renovation that will be a big focus for me, I think, in 2024.

Oh, by the way, as a special bonus, I’ll also include a look at my sister’s vision board below since hers was very different compared to mine. It’s traditionally simpler, and its board design reflects that. I love how it turned out, especially the cut out details, so I’m including it for those of you who need inspiration for something a little less messy than my heavily assembled painting.
