12. A Veterans Day National Letter, February 26
National Letter to Elders Day was started by Love for Our Elders to combat grief in our senior community. In a similar initiative, Heart of Diner also established a cause to support the Asian veteran community in New York City. Volunteers help pack lunch essentials with handwritten notes. In support of such an initiative, our team has partnered with the latter organization to help teams write heartfelt Suminagashi Note to the Asian elderly community, especially when cruelty and violence have not ended. Recently, another violent attack occurred in celebration of the supposed festival of Lunar New Year 2023 which turned into a nightmare for the Los Angeles neighborhood where most Asian Americans live.
