Fill these St. Patrick’s Day treat cups with toys, trinkets and candy to send home with party guests. All you need are some basic supplies and rainbow duct tape!

St. Patrick’s Day Treat Cup

A little rainbow duct tape and green cups decorated with jumbo green sequins make for a fun party treat. St. Patrick’s Day is a fun time to celebrate and kids love throwing parties! A party means treat cups, so I’ve put together these easy end of the rainbow loot buckets for your enjoyment.

Fill loot buckets with sweet treats or trinkets and give them as party favors or during classroom exchanges.

Green and Rainbow Treat Cups

Instructions for St. Patrick’s Day Treat Cups:

  1. Make a handle for your treat cup using rainbow duct tape.
  2. Stick the handles on both sides of the inside of the cup.
  3. Place three large green sequins together to create a clover shape.
  4. Rolled tape was used to attach to the cup.
  5. Press a medium-sized sequin onto the glue point and lift it up, then press it into the center of the clover.
  6. Fill your cups with toys, trinkets, candy and whatever else you want!

These adorable rainbow treat cup tops are perfect for St. Patrick’s Day or to share with your kids in their classroom. Made from green paper cups, sequins and rainbow duct tape!

supply

  • green paper cup
  • rainbow duct tape
  • 3 big green sequins
  • 1 medium green sequins
  • glue point
  • gift to fill the cup Such as individually wrapped butterscotch discs, Rolos® or Werthers® candies.

Instruction

  • To make the handle of your treat cup, measure and cut a 10-inch long piece of rainbow duct tape.

  • Fold one-third of the length of the tape toward you, leaving one-third of the sticky side exposed.

  • Fold the sticky third part over the first fold of tape so that there is no sticky tape left.

  • Cut a small strip of tape and attach it to one end of the handle. Repeat on the other end.

  • Stick the handles on both sides of the inside of the cup.

  • Cut another small strip of tape and roll it with the sticky side facing out. Place three large sequins together to create a clover shape. Place rolled tape in between all three to hold them all together.

  • Stick the rolled tape on one side of the cup handle.

  • Press a medium-sized sequin onto the glue point and lift it up, then press it into the center of the clover. Fill your cups with toys, trinkets, candy and whatever else you want!
