Croque Madame – FOODCRAFT

We’re talking about the queen of breakfast! Toasted bread, bacon, cheese, béchamel sauce and a sunny side up egg! This is pure heaven!

Q. Time 5 minutes

cooking time 10 minutes

  • 2 pieces the bread
  • 1 pieces cheese preferred
  • 2 strap bacon
  • 1 the egg

Bechamel sauce

  • 10 Gr flour
  • 10 Gr butter
  • 100 Milli the milk
  • 10 Gr grated parmesan
  • 1 pinch nutmeg


  • Add butter to a pan and cook over medium heat until melted.

  • Add the flour and whisk until they come together and they form a roux. (like flour)

  • Add milk and stir until all ingredients are combined. Add cheese and nutmeg.

  • Cook until it becomes a thick creamy sauce.


  • Preheat oven to 200℃

  • Take a pan and cook 2 strips of bacon until golden.

  • Remove bacon from pan. Make the sandwich and spread butter on it.

  • Cook slowly in the pan until the cheese melts. Top the sandwich with the béchamel sauce and transfer to a small oven pan.

  • Bake at 200℃ or until the sauce is golden, about 5 minutes.

  • Meanwhile crack an egg in the pan and cook to perfection!

  • Remove the sandwich from the pan and add the egg on top.

  • Season it and serve!
