How to hang curtains so they look great.

Aside from creating your own pleated curtains, here’s how to hang curtains so they look good. There are no rules in decorating, but this is my personal preference and what I see all the famous interior designers doing.

  1. Hang curtains high — about 2-3 inches below ceiling or moldings. (By the way, here’s an easy trick for hanging curtains.)
  2. HANG CURTAINS WIDE – Extend curtain rod 4-6 inches behind window.
  3. Uses Fabric loops or clip loops – There’s just something about rings that make them look nicer and more personalized. If you want to hide the Section, use These curtain hooks And tie your ring to it.
  4. You can use these pleated hooks if your curtains come with a pleated or clip-on header tape.
  5. Curtains should be long enough to “kiss” the floor. There should be no “tumble amount” of fabric or a high-water look.
  6. Train your curtains to fold in this way.

I’m biased to Matte black curtain hardware – As Young House Love says – It’s the eyeliner of the room.

Think long term about your curtains; More neutral colors, white, ivory, cream, or light blue, gray. No matter where you go or how your decor changes, they’ll always look great.

Remember – even if the curtains don’t look great in the photo, you usually can disc them a bit and make them look more high end with strategically placed use curtain clips And fluffing and appropriate braids.

Here’s how to hang curtains with curtain clips perfectly.

Now that you know where to buy cheap curtains – what’s the next step on your decorating to-do list? I’d love to take another tour for you!
